Prayer Time - Shalom Peace

I'm so thankful for this time together. Shared some quotes with you today. A scared world needs a fearless church. A.W. Tozer says that. We know God hasn't given us a spirit of fear. Max Lucado says, "Worry is the dark room where negatives become glossy prints. Don't let them develop there," and I just want to share a little about God's peace.

He promises us this peace that passes our understanding. Sometimes it's hard to get it past our understanding, but he says, it will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. He said, peace. I leave you not as the world gives, and I want to share a little bit about peace. The definition of the peace God is describing is so much bigger than the definition we would give it.

The Shalom peace of God. Shalom means wholeness, wellness, wellbeing, safe, happy, friendly, favor, completeness to make peace, a peace offering, secure to prosper, to be victorious, to restore, to be content. Tranquil, quiet and restful. The pictographic symbols for the word Shalom are to destroy the authority that binds us to chaos.

So Shalom is used to describe those of us who have been provided. All that is needed to be whole and complete and break off all authority that would attempt to bind us to chaos. As we spend time with the one who is the Prince of peace. So I encourage you today that you go in his peace, bring hope, bring joy, bring his love to drive out fear wherever you go.
