Ships and Barnacles

I've been sharing a lot about coming clean, asking Holy spirit to reveal any areas of our life that we need to lay down before him.

When a great ship that could do 40 knots, carry tons of cargo and make great profits, suddenly starts losing power and money, the trouble is usually under the waterline. Barnacles clinging to the sides, robbing the ship of her power. It has to go into dry dock until the hindering barnacles can be stripped off.

Would you let Holy spirit reveal any areas that have kept you from running this race in the fullness that God's called you to run? To know him in that place of intimacy, to trust him in that place. And there might be some things in our lives that we need to lay down that we have been holding on to that really are a spiritual cancer. He's able to do that. He's faithful to do that.
