Ministry Function
The Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Coordinator supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope by working with the MEL team of the international program to ensure COH’s global work is evidence-based, effective, and meets COH’s quality standards. The MEL Coordinator fosters a culture of learning and accountability, ensuring data is used for decision-making, adaptive management, and impact measurement across the organization.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Manages the day-to-day MEL functions in support of the overarching MEL strategy.
Makes recommendations for data collection methods and techniques to equip international staff on quarterly reporting.
Works collaboratively with IP data collection manager through the data collection process of IP programs.
To elaborate in a timely manner reports, and presentations that provide relevant information about the projects including progress and results.
Maintains current knowledge industry trends to propose update of the MEL strategy and approach.
Collaborates on IP research projects and identifies methods for impact-based analysis.
Works with international MEL team members to ensure that IP program standards are implemented.
Provides training to the field on logical framework and theory of change.
Works with IP programs specialists to establish ongoing standard/indicator reviews.
Collaborates with various IP team members to secure specific data requested for internal and external reporting upon request.
Collaborates with IP team members to implement sustainable development programmatic measurement instrument.
Travels as assigned for program evaluation and training on MEL topics.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Bachelor's degree in statistics, analytics, data science, or another relevant field is required.
2+ years of work experience in a related field, required.
Experience in a nonprofit organization and international work is preferred.
Fluent in computer knowledge and experience with data collections tools and/or Power BI is a plus.
Expresses a strong attention to detail.
Experience and aptitude for collaborative teamwork approach to problem solving.
Demonstrates the ability to creatively problem-solve and interpret data in a way that addresses programmatic realities and culturally sensitive scenarios.
Is motivated to hit milestones and meet deadlines.
Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Serves as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden, and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry.
Positively represents the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies.
