Ministry Function
The Inventory Coordinator supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope by aiding with all aspects of the Inventory Department, including database maintenance, donor file management, electronic file maintenance, and audit compliance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. Adjusts and values inbound loads to the World Distribution Center and all Regional Distribution Centers.
2. Assists with SVIRT (direct ship) adjustments and receipts as needed.
3. Researches inventory valuations and completes necessary documentation in accordance with audit standards.
4. Maintains Convoy of Hope valuation databases in accordance with approved company methodology.
5. Creates and maintains new databases for future reporting needs.
6. Conducts random internal audits and assists with the annual physical inventory audit.
7. Fulfills all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
1. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, and a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
2. Experience in inventory transactions and business is required.
3. Demonstrates high proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
4. Displays strong organizational skills for handling several projects at one time.
5. Exhibits attention to detail and ability to follow through without direct supervision.
6. Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Demonstrates experience in working with confidential material.
8. Possesses the ability to stand for long periods of time when doing physical inventory and periodic cycle counts.
9. Displays flexibility, including the ability to work overtime and respond to rapidly changing priorities.
10. Attends and actively participates in Convoy of Hope At Home Week meetings and activities as a required responsibility to the organization and fellow team members.
11. Serves as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden, and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry.
12. Positively represents the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies.
13. As a Christian organization, Convoy of Hope believes it is critical that team members embrace the organization’s religious purposes for which it exists, and not only agree with its Statement of Faith but demonstrate it in their lives on an ongoing basis.
