Description:
Ministry Function: The International Shipping Coordinator supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope by providing administrative support and project coordination to the Shipping Director and Shipping Department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Assist Shipping Director and Manager with international shipping requests, related paperwork and documentation. 2. Facilitate booking containers from the WDC and RDC’s. 3. Facilitate container tracking 4. Primary overseeing all shipping aspects of assigned region by the Shipping Director. 5. Responsible for research requirements for existing and new countries for Shipping department. 6. Maintain country information sheets as data is provided or charges. 7. Handle product donor reporting by notifying them when containers have cleared customs and delivered to consignee. 8. Assist documents and invoices by coding. Chamber of Commerce/Secretary of State office, and USDA items. 9. Assist with Ocean Freight Reimbursement (OFR) with submitting reimbursement vouchers and tracking. 10. Assist with the application, schedule, and track all USDA phytosanitary inspections for all countries. 11. Handle small parcels and courier documents and track until delivered. 12. Assist with other duties as requested.


Qualifications:
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 1. Bachelor’s degree preferred; High School diploma or equivalent required. 2. Experience in office environment required. 3. Strong computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel. 4. Strong organizational skills and ability to handle concurrent, multiple job tasks. 5. Excellent interpersonal communication and relational skills. 6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 7. Experience working with confidential material. 8. Ability to demonstrate good judgment. 9. Ability to be flexible and respond to rapidly changing priorities. 10. Attends and actively participates in COH At Home Week meetings and activities as a required responsibility to the organization and fellow team members. 11. Serve as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry.
