Ministry Function:
The Mid-Range Development Manager assists the development team by leading and executing a strategy to cultivate purposeful relationships with donors who give mid-range gifts in support of Convoy of Hope’s programs and ministry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Participates in the development of the Mid-Range donor strategy with VP of Development, VP of Partner Relations and Regional Director.
Nurtures relationships with existing and new mid-range individual donors through personal contact, emails, letters, and phone calls.
Strategically Identifies mid-level donors with the potential to become major donors.
Cooperates with the Partner Relations team to move donors to the next giving level.
Collaborates with outside consultants to plan and execute phone and mail cultivation strategies for mid-range donors.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree preferred; High School diploma or equivalent required.
2+ years professional fundraising experience preferred.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to quickly build rapport with a variety of constituencies.
Strong verbal skills to share the vision of Convoy of Hope and to motivate donors to action.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure, maintain tact in difficult situations.
Strong organizational skills, ability to be detail oriented and to follow through.
Extremely comfortable with telephone communication which is the primary interaction with the Mid-Range Donors.
Ability to manage quotas and deadlines.
Ability to use a PC and software programs, including, but not limited to Microsoft Office applications.
Serve as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry.
Ability to positively represent the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies.
