Description:
Primary responsibilities include opening or closing the branch facility according to branch policies and procedures. Complete and balance daily reports for branch. Perform transactional duties to serve members by receiving or paying out funds with high degree of accuracy. Maintain accurate transactional records, providing basic cash receipt and payment services in accordance with credit union policies and procedures. Essential Functions Work with the employees in your division/department as a team to effectively and efficiently • Greet and welcome members to the credit union in a courteous, professional and timely manner, providing prompt, accurate and efficient member transactions. Ensure that each member who visits the branch feels welcome and has an excellent experience from entry until they exit the credit union. Maintain high service standards. • Process routine transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments, and transfers according to branch procedures. • Review and interpret Symitar transaction history. • Perform shared branch transactions. • Promote, explain and recommend other credit union services. Requires active listening and general knowledge of the features and benefits of all products and services. • Balance cash drawer at the end of the shift and compare totaled amounts to computer-generated reports. Research and reconcile discrepancies. Report any discrepancies to supervisor. • Address additional member-related needs when they arise, including, but not limited to VISA gift cards and opening safe deposit box rentals and access. • Perform basic account maintenance at the member’s request (maintain and update address, phone number, email records). • Scan documents into Synergy and retrieve documents as needed. • Process / post night deposits and record proper information according to AGCU procedures. • Comply with all AGCU policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal regulations (i.e. Reg CC SAR, CTR, BSA, etc.) • Verify IDs, authorized account access, and be alert for attempted fraud attempts, suspicious activity or other potential violations. • Protect members by maintaining strict confidentiality in all situations and interactions. Duties & Responsibilities • Knowledge of security procedures for opening or closing the branch and how to secure the facility before staff is allowed in or out. • Knowledge of robbery procedures. • Utilize DOXIM for statement viewing. • Buy / sell cash from the vault. • Provide Cashier’s checks to members when requested. • Provide loan balance versus payoff balance to members. • Provide account balances to members upon request. • Run coin counter. • Solve simple problems with research and follow-up. • Be available to work on Saturday mornings in drive-thru as needed. • May be required to work at various branches. • Some overtime may occasionally be required. • Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor or manager.


Qualifications:
Education & Experience • High School diploma or equivalent required. • A minimum of 6 months customer service is required. • Cash handling experience and proficiency. • Financial institution experience is strongly preferred. • Experience with Symitar (Jack Henry) software is strongly preferred. Skills • Basic knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and other Office products. • Excellent interpersonal skills, professional etiquette, and communication skills. • Strong listening skills, excellent member service skills, comfortable asking questions and identifying needs to expand the member relationship. • Ability to understand how to present features and benefits of products and services to members with differing needs. • Ability to work effectively in a team environment. • Ability to work branch hours and open/close the branch when needed. • Must be able to multi-task while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
