Description:
Mold Remediation Technician is to:
Conduct thorough inspections to identify mold growth and assess the extent of contamination.
Develop and implement remediation plans in accordance with industry standards and local regulations.
Safely remove and dispose of contaminated materials, such as drywall, insulation, and carpeting.
Use appropriate equipment and techniques for mold removal, treatment, cleaning, and prevention.
Perform post-remediation assessments to ensure that the area is free from mold and safe for reoccupation.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, remediation processes, and materials used.
Educate clients on mold prevention and maintenance practices.
Follow all safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Collaborate with management and team members and communicate effectively with clients throughout the remediation process.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in mold remediation or environmental science preferred.
Previous experience in mold remediation or related field is highly desirable.
Knowledge of mold growth conditions, health risks, and remediation techniques.
Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in hazardous material handling.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various environmental conditions (to include tight crawlspaces).
