Children's Director

Description:
Personal The children's director is to be a person of God, who has ordered their life in compliance with the teaching of Scripture and the example of the Lord. This person will be an example to the believers in personal godliness (1 Timothy 4:12). Ministry The children's director of National Heights Baptist Church is responsible for providing leadership and support for developing a comprehensive ministry program for the children of our congregation. This person will: 1. Assist children in developing an understanding of the Lord Jesus Christ, experience greater fellowship with Him and so come to an ever-increasing awareness of God and His presence in their lives. 2. Enable the children and families of this congregation to respond in faith to the Word of God, by knowledge and loving God, evidenced by relationships in which lives are increasingly transformed into the likeness of Christ. And as they learn more of God’s truth, they learn to obey God’s Word, become responsible members of the church, love one another and show their love for a lost world by sharing the gospel. 3. To shepherd the children, adult leaders and families in the children's ministry. 4. To demonstrate a servant’s heart and a thankful spirit for the privilege of serving our Lord and Savior. 5. The children's director will report to the Pastor with guidance from the personnel committee.

Qualifications:
1. Demonstrate training and competence in children education/ministry sufficient to lead and develop the program. 2. Demonstrate the biblical qualification (Titus 1:6-9, 1 Timothy 3:1-7), heartily agree to the constitution and by-laws, beliefs and practices of National Heights Baptist Church and believe that God has truly called them into the ministry.
