Description:
Ministry Function The Network Relations Administrative Assistant supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope by assisting with all aspects of administrative, event, and project management support for the Network Relations Working Group. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Acts as point of contact for Network Relations team members, including calendar invites, meeting preparations, project management, donor communications, and detailed follow-up on projects assigned by a supervisor. Enforces sound decision-making and ensures project deadlines are managed and met. Composes correspondence, compiles reports, and is familiar with word processing and spreadsheet creation. Coordinates in cooperation with the Travel Manager about all travel arrangements for Church Relations team members. Prepares expense reports for the Network Relation’s directors. Assists team members with time-sensitive or high-volume projects. Manages confidential information in a professional manner. Interacts with team members at all levels of the organization in a gracious and supportive manner. Serves as permanent substitute for receptionist desks at all campuses. This position will be the first called when a receptionist is utilizing paid time off. Fulfills all other duties as assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities A bachelor’s degree is preferred, and a high school diploma or equivalent is required. Two or more years of previous experience in assisting executive-level positions or demonstrated ability to thrive in a similar environment is crucial. Possesses knowledge of PC software programs, including Gmail and Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Displays strong organization skills for handling several projects at once. Exhibits a detail-oriented focus and can follow through without direct supervision. Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills for dealing with contractors, vendors, and donors. Displays excellent written and verbal communication skills. Possesses experience working with confidential material. Serves as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden, and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry. Positively represents the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies. As a Christian organization, Convoy of Hope believes it is critical that team members embrace the organization's religious purposes for which it exists, and not only agree with its Statement of Faith but demonstrate it in their lives on an ongoing basis. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
